چکیده

The Human papillomavirus (HPV) E6 protein is one of the oncoproteins encoded by the virus. Inorder to understand the mechanism by which E6 interacts with the host cellular proteins to trigger the cascade of cancer cell transformation. STRING (Search Tool for the Retrieval of Interacting Genes/Proteins) is a biological database has been used to model the pathway of the proteinprotein interaction and how intimately they associate to contribute to the malignancy of the HPV transformed cells. SIPA1L1, E6AP and E6BP three individual annotated pathways enable to construct a putative pathway using their annotations and in literature review. The E6 cellular target has important implications for the development of effective cancer therapeutic strategies.

In silico analyzing the molecular interactions of plant-derived inhibitors against E6AP, p53, and c-Myc binding sites of HPV type 16 E6 oncoprotein

Human papillomaviruses (HPV) are a group of strong human carcinogen viruses considered to be the fourth leading cause of mortality among women in the world. HPV is the most important cause of cervical cancer, which is the second most common cancer in women living in low and middle-income countries. To date, there is no effective cure for an ongoing HPV infection; therefore, it is required to in...

Development of screening systems for drugs against human papillomavirus-associated cervical cancer: based on E6-E6AP binding.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) E6 protein forms a ternary complex with the cell-cycle regulator p53 and the E6-associated protein (E6AP) known as an E3 ubiquitin protein ligase, leading to the degradation of p53 via the ubiquitination pathway. As an attempt to employ interaction between HPV viral oncogene E6 and a cellular protein E6AP for in vitro screening system of drugs against HPV infection, w...

بهینه‌سازی بیان سازه پلی‌توپیک حاوی ژن‌های E6 و E7 ویروس پاپیلومای انسانی در میزبان بیانی اشرشیاکلی

Background: Human papilloma virus is a DNA virus from the papillomavirus family that is most prevalent in human cervical cancers and many studies showed the E6 and E7 proteins are present in the majority of cervical cancer cases. Development of universal HPV peptide-based vaccine with more serotypes coverage has considerable value. The aim of the study was to design a multi-epitope universal va...

Effects of Antiproliferative Protein (APP) on Modulation of Cytosolic Protein Phosphorylation of Prostatic Carcinoma Cell Line LNCaP

Antiproliferative protein (APP) isolated from conditioned media of two androgen-independent prostatic carcinoma cell lines, PC3 and Du-145 was shown to inhibit selectively cell proliferation of androgen-dependent prostate cancer cell line LNCaP in a dose dependent manner. This protein was further purified with HPLC using hydrophobic interaction column (phenyl 5PW) and was used to study the modu...

E6-Specific Detection and Typing of Human Papillomaviruses in Oral Cavity Specimens from Iranian Patients

Background: Detection and quantification of human Papillomavirus (HPV) genome in oral carcinoma play an important role in diagnosis, as well as implications for progression of disease. Methods: We evaluated tissues from 50 esopharyngeal cancers collected from different regions of Iran for HPV E6 using the two type-specific primers sets. E6 gene of HPV genotypes was amplified by specific primers...
